Migration
Obtaining a migration visa to Australia can be a rigorous and time consuming process. In many cases, complications will arise, and the application may be delayed or even fail due to applicant’s lack of legal knowledge on the subject. Furthermore, frequent changes occur to the legislation and regulations that define one’s eligibility to migrate to Australia.
Announcement on GSM visas
On 8 February 2010, the Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, Senator Chris Evans, announced the following changes to the General Skilled Migration program:
the outcomes of a review of the Migration Occupations in Demand List (MODL)
the replacement of the current Skilled Occupation List (SOL) in the second half of 2010
